Montpellier, 8th biggest French city and the capital of the Hérault department as well as the Languedoc-Roussillon region, is a major touristic attraction and Italy-Spain crossing in the south of France - and is thus very well served in airway, motorway and railway (TGV) transportation. Being built mainly on two hills, the city of Montpellier is characterised by streets of unequal altitude, some of which are aged, stone-based and narrow, giving it a very warm, medieval feel.
You will discover many remarkable places like the Place de la Comedie, the gardens of Peyroux, St. Clement's aqueduct, the Botanical Gardens, Faculty of Medicine and St Peter's Cathedral, the Musee Fabre.
